Danity Kane is a fictional character a member of the group (Dawn R.) had drawn. Danity Kane is a 'superhero' drawn in an anime style. While Dawn was drawing that anime character, P. Diddy asked about it and she responded by telling Diddy what the name of her character was. He liked the name Danity Kane and figured the girls can represent five superhero superstars.

Dawn was drawing one day in the studio and diddy happened to walk pass and notice and asked Dawn what she was drawing and Dawn told him that she was drawing a character she had been working on named Danity Kane. Diddy was feeling the name so decided to name the group that.
