When you say formal you don't mean like cocktail dresses and evening gowns right? What is everyone else wearing? You should dress like your boss but not as expensivly. If your boss wears suits from Bloomingdales or Sax, where a suit from Nordstrom or Macy's.
You are working in a professional atmosphere which means pants, skirst, blouses, jackets, panyhose, nice shoes and professional hair. NO clubbing outfits!
Good luck!

April C - answering as someone who supervised an place of work the position team dressed casually, i'd recommend that adopting a clothing type in preserving such as your fellow team individuals, is reasonably, is a thanks to bypass. when you're an admin assistant assigned to a center manager, your clothing type might want to mirror the prestige of the area. clothing, upload-ons, make up and hair type, and well-known deportment say plenty about your adulthood, your values and targets in existence. Overspending on clothing, being aggressive about continually having something new or stylish, can deliver the incorrect message. in case your position places you in the front of the overall public, undemanding and modest dresses is ideal. inspite of the undeniable fact that, in case you artwork for a organization that does promotion and marketing, communications, public relatives or any layout or type appropriate organization, each thing i have reported 'is going out the window'. wish that's wise.

well it really depends. like, do you want to look totaly sheek and chick at the same time as being dressy? or just like for sure dressy? because like you could wear defintiely a pair of realy cute heels with a pair of pinstripe bermuda shorts (the shorts that are kind of long...go to the knee), with like a matching button up shirt. They're making really cute button up shirts for girls/women these days and they realllllly dress up any kind of jeans. But I would get like even a pair of pinstripe dress pants that have pink in the pinstripe, and then wear like a nice pink or white button up shirt with a really cute pair of heels. hope this helps! :)

Depends on what you are considering formal. Just wear nice slacks, skirts (not too high), blouses (and if there are thin, make sure to wear a chamisole), and nice shoes.
