Hanif Muhammad who was known as "Little Master" in cricketing world enjoyed the first class record of 499 runs in a single innings for many decades as he scored those 499 runs in 1958 in a Quied-e-Azam trophy match against Bahawalpur playing from Karachi.

My dear I guess you question is wrong. In fact the highest score for a test match is 400 and that too is of BRIAN CHARLES LARA - from west Indies.
The previous record holder was also LARA
