It is not wrong to believe that. If you two are still hanging out with each other and have been since you were little children, the attraction would be undeniable. I have seen many other things like this, and when you feel this way, there is a big chance that he has probably been feeling that way for a while, but has just been to nervous to say anything. Another reason that he might not have said anything in the past is because he thought that it would've jeopardized your friendship that has been going for a very long time. Some guys don't really like to make the first move, because they over analyze (and I know all about over analyzing and losing my love and courage...). All I have to say is good luck and go for it.

Not at all. But, if you do decide to pursue this further, be aware that it could ultimately ruin your friendship or it could be the best thing you ever did. I was friends with a guy for seven years and dated him for about four months. It didn't work out and afterward it was too awkward for us to be friends anymore. Today we don't even talk. But, then again, it depends on the people. You never know. You all could end up falling in love and being soul mates. I would tell him how you feel and if he doesn't feel the same way...try to laugh it off like it was a joke. My best friend and I met, by him asking me out. I didn't have feelings for him, but after talking with him for a while we became very close. I wish for the best for you in whatever you choose.

No, but you have a lot in front of you, so quit daydreaming and get on with your life. Go to school, make friends, and have fun. Stop worrying about your little childhood friend and having children with that person. There is much to do BEFORE you even think about this aspect of your life.

Despite how much you may admire your childhood friend, it is highly improbable that the reality of a relationship would ever meet the expectations that you envision. Look for someone who can meet you where you are in life now and love you for the wonderful person that you truly are.

No you are not wrong to think this way but it may not always work out that way. Treat it like any other relationship and you will eventually know if he is the one

If he's aware of how you feel, and is still not interested, then it's best to just let it go. After all, it's better to keep him as a friend rather than lose him by constantly hinting at your feelings.

wrong no? you can believe whatever you want.... just remember...there are other whackos out there that believe Jesus is riding a comment and they can join him if they kill themselves. Ok.... do i think you are holding onto a fantasy? Yes. Sorry.
If you were like um dating this guy already.... then it might be conceivable...but otherwise...MY guess is no.
