on the last episode of gilmore girls on the six season lorelai breacks up with luke is theis true why why whould they do that. do u think they will get back togather?

i really hope they do get back together. they are so cute its meant to be. well i think that she is breaking up with him becuz of the whole look has a daughter thing. but im really not sure, i missed alot in this season. like i saw when Lane and Zach got married but ive been watching reruns and i saw an older episode where they were broke up. i dont know why the did and when the got back together to get married. im a little lost on all that but its pretty easy to igure out everything between rory and logan.

Well, we don't know if they officially broke it off until the season premiere when the actions of the season finale are confronted. If they did break it off, I do hope they will get back together. I believe they will. Although, it looks like they did break up because of the ultimatum Lorelai gave Luke.

She was at her breaking point, they were suppose to get married and he put the wedding on hold. He just found out that he had a 12 year old daughter and kept it from her for like 2 or 4 months. And he said he needed time to process that, so the wedding was put on hold. She was trying really hard not to break down but her mother took her to a real estate office and offered to buy them a house as a wedding present since she wouldnt let her throw the wedding for her. Thens he breaks down and said they arent getting married, so she goes to Luke's and tells him that have to get married that night cuz if they didnt, it wont happen. He didnt like the ultimatium and wouldnt agree. So she walked away from and ended up at Christopher's house (Rory's dad) and slept with him. And that was pretty much the ending of last season.

When does the new season start? I thought it was last Tuesday but someone said Sept.
If Luke & Lorelei got marrried it would ruin the "sexual tension" and that kills a show faster than having your fav character replaced by some unknown actor. So, the drama continues!

She didn't actually "Break up" with him. She asked him to elope with her and he said no. The next thing you know, she's in Chris' bed.
The writers did this to have some conflict in the 7th season. It's no doubt that Luke will get back together with Lorilai by the end of the 7th season.

They just do the break up show, so they would get your attention so the viewer's would watch it next season to see if they would get back together next season or not. Yes I think they will get back together. Just like in other Series that I've seen!

If I remember correctly, I'm sure they broke up after th@ meeting-Christopher-at-the-party incident and when Lorelai's (evil) mother kinda like told Luke off coz she like favoured Christopher (Rory's dad) more.
But, yeah, they get back eventually.......................................

if you buy the sixth season on dvd, you can see, but it doesn't come out until september :-(
