wow, you must've been young when this happened cuz this case ain't nothing new. it's a very sad situation, however which way you look at it. a little girl was murdered, the parents were continuously blamed, it has taken so much time to find a solid suspect and the mother died of cancer before he was caught. i think he's trying to gain sympathy and lessen the damage of the atrocious act he committed by hiding behind this, "I want everybody to know that I loved her," crap. He's a sicko and should never be let out with the rest of us and to never again harm another child again.
