They should get a real job and quit trying to make a easy buck!! I see them all the time towing my neighbors cars after a hard days of work. Their cars werent illegally parked. People working hard trying to make a living and they just come tow anybodys car, then charge you a arm and a leg to get it back. They dont even give them a notice or anything. Then this morning my car was towed. You can read my last question in reference to that. I understand their are people that come and just take up parking places that dont even live here, but these are innocent hard working people that live here. To top it all off they will give you every excuse in the book as to why they towed your car.

yeah yeah yeah, maybe one day you'll get your cars wrongfully towed and you'll see what im talking about. The only reason why they do it is for the money. they could careless if you are illegally parked.

Plus they only take cash, no credit/debit cards.

The tow truck driver is responding to a legal request by a property manager to have a car removed from the premises. Don't blame him - he is doing his job. And imagine how bad driving would be if there were no tow truck drivers to get totaled cars off of the road.

I think the real issue here is your problems with the landlords. I would suggest you look up the landlord/tenant laws for your state, and see about contacting a lawyer... If what you say is true, you are getting screwed and you need someone to fight for your rights.

They don't tow a car unless they are given the authority to do so. The owner of the property must request that the car be towed, or a police officer must give an order for it to be towed. They don't just drive down the street looking randomly for cars that might illegally be parked. They are just doing what they are paid to do. Your issue is not with them, it is with whomever is giving the orders.

You should be angry at the police who, the majority of the time, charge you to get your car back and are the ones who call the tow men. There are just as many "scum" jobs in this earth, why arent you pissed at those meter maids? All they do is drive around looking to give people tickets.. And please, do not dishonor anyones job, Tow truck drivers are hard working people, they probably work harder than any manager who makes probable twice as much as they do...

I understand your angst but you know, I dont think the tow truck driver gets a large profit from the expenses you have to dish out. He's prob just being paid minimum wage by the hour and it doesnt matter how many cars he brings in.

In California they're passing a law that prohibits tow trucks from doing that, check out your state laws and see if that is legal.

I am sure you are an honest hard working person just trying to do your job.

What you have forgotten though, is that the tow truck driver is doing his job too. His job is to tow people's vehicles. It isn't personal.

You obviously violated a restriction or ordnance and your car was towed. It doesn't matter if it was "only for a minute", if you park illegally, you will pay.
