is there anyway to get proof that its not just a scam. This girl contacted me through asian friend finder. We have talked for about a month now she wants to live here with me.she says it would be easyer for her if I send her a western union transaction than a plane ticket that way she can get all the legal stuff taken care of in her town(papers legalized, fiancee visa, medical exam...ect) instead of going to Moskow to do it saving her a month's hotel and meal cost. She has written me many times & sent many pics. She sounds sincere but I am still suspisious and want to be very carefull!!.Has anyone here had any experience or luck with this type of thing?Anyone with any advise would be greatly appreciated Thank you

It is a scam, otherwise she would not mind having a ticket bought by you (and even with a ticket it could be a scam).

If you have money and still in doubt - why don't you go to Russia and meet her? At least you'll see Russia :-)

I would advise you didnt have any more contact, anyone asking you to send money is only after one thing ..."money" . they may sound nice but you dont really know this person , you could get caught up in something illegal, maybe theyd want to marry you next just so they can become legitimate, and then leave you , please dont get involved in this, maybe you could look locally where you are if there are any social groups or maybe even classes, gym, shopping where you can meet people at face value, never ever give your money away unless its a real friend youve known for a long time

I have never experienced this type of thing. But if ANYONE is asking you to send them money western union, do not do it. Unless you just have money to lose. All the papers that she needs can be done on your end. But if she insists on her doing it herself it most likely is a scam. Good luck.

The old addage; "If it sounds to good to be true. It probably is".
Why does she have to have money? If I was planning a move to another
country. I'd be better prepared!
Can you verify that the pictures are of her?
Maybe contacting someone in both governments (Russia & USA) could shed a little light on this.
To me it's a "no go."
