1. Insert the disk
2. (as mentioned earlier) set the BIOS to look to the CD and/or DVD drive first.
3. Reboot computer
4. Windows setup will come up (blue screen). Create the amount of partitions you would like and the size for the partitions.
5. Format a partition with FAT or NTFS (NTFS recommended)
6. Install 2000 on that partition.

When you get into it, you'll see it's fairly simple to install, but it just might take a while :)

U made a wise choice, Win 2000 is still a better version than win xp. Its simple, just insert the cd and justfollow the instructions but make sure that u access your boot sector and change the first boot up as cd, followed by the hard disk

Boot from the CD as mentioned earlier. If you "misplace" the Product Key simply copy the entire OS into a file on your Desktop ( I'm assuming you can do this) The go to the i386 folder and look for the 'pid" it will end with three zeros. Change these zeros to 270 then go to the installer and it will set up without the key.

Set the Bios boot from CD-ROM/Drive, and then insert a Windows 2000 CD into the CD-ROM. And then follow the instruction from the screen.
