it's a couple's ring and i dont want to wear it on the ring finger of my left hand.

Promise rings (rings for unmarried couples) are tradtionally worn on the ring finger of your RIGHT hand. That's where my boyfriend and I wear ours.

Right hand. Ring finger of left hand is for engagement/wedding rings only. (Unless you're a girl. Then it doesn't matter.)
