Why do you need records? Don't you remember where you've worked in the past?

You could always pass the buck by getting the prospective employer to ask for those records from your previous HR department, and on a professional level. It makes it all above the board and they really can't refuse it without valid reasons?

1. Use your old paystubs.
2. Look up the employers contact info on Yahoo's local search.
3. Have a friend call your old employers for you and ask to talk to a manager, and BS your way to finding out someone's name and position from there.

They are not publically available. Therefore, you will need to contact your previous employers for that information.

If you are just looking for your job history, you can get that from Social Security. However, if you are talking your employee file, you'll have to go through the employer.

I don't think that you can since they would be the ones with the records. If you're just looking for earnings records, you can probably get those from Social Security. Good luck!!

I'm not sure if you are USA or Canada, but in Canada you can contact Canada Customs & Revenue Agency and get copies of all your T4's as well as ROE's.

I don't think you can. They would be the only people besides yourself who would have access to your personal info. For future reference- make yourself a personnel folder of your own for each job and keep copies of EVERYTHING! You never know when it would come in handy. :)
