Recording over the phone?

Hi,

My grandpa, god bless him, is over 80 years old and lives in another state. He has a really funny message on his answering machine that I would like to record and keep forever. The only way to get that message is by calling him and hearing it over the phone. What should I do to record it? Thank you

you can get machines that would record a phone conv. Or you can hold a handheld recorder to the earpiece. Try making the call thru your computer and recording it on there.
