it's almost as though these things have replaced the constitution. it's sad.

people fail to realize that the bible has been written and re-written and re-written some more by PEOPLE. and those PEOPLE are ones that were even DUMBER than people in the world today. i mean, PEOPLE that thought the world was flat, PEOPLE that thought man was created by a talking snake and a tree. i have read the bible and there is not a funnier storybook on the planet.

More people believe in the Bible than the Constitution, which began being shredded when Lincoln stopped the South from seceding.
If you believe the Bible is written by God or is God's Word, it clearly outranks a man-made Constitution.
The Consitution has been so bastardized by judges decisions over the years the actual document is not what today's law is.

Yet another sign of America sliding -- for some to me obscure reason -- still further to the right. Sad but true: a nation that was once created on the premise of liberty and secularism (and in general the values of the Enlightenment and the French revolution) is now become a hotbed of religious extremism, not totally unlike the more moderate extremists and fundamentalists in the Middle East.

Because the people who do that will have more control over others than if they used a REAL legal document.
It pisses me off, specially when people answer in arguments with quotes from the bible because they can't think for themselves.

i agree with the first poster. the constitution doesent give them a reason to attack and invade the people they label "ENEMY".
its easier to hide behind those things than the constitution. the constitution grants freedom, the bible and patriot act limit that freedom.

shape, and the reliable ol' bill of Rights!! Screw those fascist legislations like the Patriot Act, FISA, and Hr1955. those all undermine our shape, decrease our bill of Rights, and could sooner or later wreck our freedoms if we don't act quickly!

Some people prefer submitting to the totalitarianism of faith rather than endure the responsibilities of real freedom and liberty.
