Yeah...ProActiv does work. Use it twice a day...And uhh...well, hate to sound like an infomercial, but you'll see results within days.
Food you eat shouldn't really affect the condition of your skin, but for your overall health, eat healthy foods (if you don't already) and don't have too many sweets. Don't touch your face often. Especially if your hands haven't been washed lately. Then there's even more dirt to get into pores.
I don't know how much oil your face produces, but I've always heard no matter how bad of a problem oil is, never use oil-free products. They will strip the oils from your skin, and then your pores will produce even more oil to make up for the loss.

i'm not sure proactive works, but try cleaning ur face with neutrogena oil free in the morning or cleaning ur face with clean and clear black head scrub. they both work well. both stops and prevents breakouts. but clean and clear also gets rid of blackheads.
good luck.
Major breakouts...too many zits to count
If you feel you have a serious acne condition, you should talk with your mom or another adult about seeing a dermatologist. A dermatologist is a skin doctor who will be able to help provide solutions. He or she may prescribe Retin-A, a cream that contains a vitamin A derivative and works by accelerating the turnover of skin. If you use Retin-A make sure to avoid the sun. Because your skin is more sensitive, you can burn easily. The downside to Retin-A is that if it is overused, it can make your skin dry and cause peeling and scaling.
Accutane is another prescription medication that contains a synthetic (fake) Vitamin A derivative that reduces oil production. Usually Accutane is taken for six months and not only does it clear skin during that time, but it helps prevent future cases of extreme acne too.
The downside of Accutane is that it's somewhat expensive and because it reduces oil production, it is really drying for the lips, nose, and eyes. Also, you should not take Accutane if you are pregnant or might get pregnant. Doctors prescribe the pill while you're taking Accutane to make sure you don't get pregnant because Accutane has been associated with birth defects.
But, as you can see, there are a lot of options for dealing with serious acne, so see a dematologist if you can. It will make a big difference.

I use proactiv and compared to when I didn't it's made a big difference. However, the bad thing about proactiv is if you stop using it it'll stop working. If you have A LOT of pimples i don't think i'd recommend proactiv, try going to a dermatologist and getting a prescription for something. However if it's only here and there acne I would recommend proactiv. Good luck!!!

Ok help is here what you can do is steam your face and clean the pores, then hold cold water up to your face to close the pores. Another treatment is to get rid of the pimples is try this if your liver is clean the pimples clear up. Put 8oz of apple mix it with quarter tea spoon of espon salt drink it. Do this twice a week and I swear you see a big different in your skin. What is happening is the toxic is been cleaned out of your system.

It might work or it might not. You could give it a try. If it doesn't work, try slicing a cucumber in thin circular pieces. Then place them all over your face. Leave the cucumber pieces on your face for about 15 to 20 minutes. It helped me a lot when I had pimple problems ^ ^

Lay off the junk food, invest in some astringent, and don't touch your face if you can help it.
If you want a confidence boost, get into exercising regularly. Not only is it great for your body, it's also a huuge stress reliever and you always feel better about yourself after a heavy workout.

I know someone who uses Proactiv and it helps a lot. It's too expensive for me, but I might try it when I have the money.
If you can afford it, you should consider seeing a dermatologist. There are different types of prescription medicines that might help you.

use a wash rag in the shower to wipe your face as the steam opens the pores. if not, boil water and put ure face over the steam to open the pores, use the rag to wipe off dirt, use a face scrub about 3 to 4 times a week, after cleansing out the pores, use ice or splash your face w/ cold water to close the pores. do this daily. your pores just needs to be kept clean on a daily basis to avoid buildup and then it eventually breaks out. also i have to avoid chocolates. try to find out if there's any food that makes you break out as well and limit yourself.

You have to go to the Dermatologists and they well give you some medicine to kill internal bacteria and some cream for external bacteria. They have a over the counter treatment similar to that at any drug store with pills, face wash and cream but I don't remember the name of it. Good luck!!!!
