Yes, they have been bought by corporate America, and worse, they have let Bush usurp many of their power's! It is a sad spectacle!

And it it more than politically, they have been writing laws that are unconstitutional, and if I know they are, there is no excuse for them to know they aren't!

Well danger, you got bigger government, bur you have had 2 tax cuts for the rich, and Bush wants to make them permanent in his 2007 budget, while he cuts or eliminates 141 programs for the elderly and the poor! This is the first time in the history of this nation that a president has given tax cuts while we are in combat!

Some president, he even cut the Veterans Hospitals by 8 Billion while we have had IED amputees coming home for over 3 years! Don't tell me Bush supports the military, because he doesn't and he never has. Including his desertion from the National Guard!

Yes.

The deficit is ballooning.
Congressional oversight of the Administration is nonexistent.
Consumer protections are being rolled back.
Our troops overseas are under-equipped.
The privacy rights of our nation's taxpaying citizens are being chipped away.
The ethics reforms promised by the Contract With America generation of Congresspeople have slowly disappeared.
The election reforms and campaign financing reforms needed to return legitimacy to our elections have stalled.
Children are being left behind.
FEMA has lost the credibility it gained in the late 90s.
Environmental protections are being gutted.
American citizens and important American facilities are not really safer from terrorist attack than they were five years ago.
Mega-mergers are being green-lighted as fast as possible with little critical analysis.
Funding for first-responders has been shifted towards pork projects (Why is anti-terrorism funding needed for a petting zoo in AL, a popcorn store in IN, and 718 mortuaries across the country???)

Our members of Congress need a wake-up call. If they're working hard, it isn't work for the benefit of the American people.
