When you first log in, there are 3 options.
1. Remember screen name.
2. Remember password.
3. Start up when computer is started up.
You just have to change your options for start up.

You go to the messenger drop down menu and then preferences.
Stop it from auto signing in on the general tab. You might also even uncheck the start with windows at boot.

If u are using Yahoo Messenger then remove the check mark from the "Sign in Automatically" check box or for other messengers look for similar options in the Preference menu.

Sign into yahoo messenger and go to the "messenger" tab, then to "preferences" then click the "general" tab on the left hand side and the first option says "Automatically start Yahoo! messenger with my computer"...uncheck that and hit apply and you should be all set :)

Follow these easy steps:
âªLog onto your existing Yahoo! Messenger account.
âªOnce you got that goin', click onto the "Messenger" feature placed above your Y!Msgr IM window
âªFrom the drop down menu, select "Preferences".
âªUnder "General" uncheck the box for "When I start my computer".
âªFinish by clicking, "OK" to confirm.

goto Messenger menu, then Prefrences and in Genreal Category, uncheck the "Automatically Start Yahoo Messenger..."
