if your water is leaking or breaks you will continue to feel wet even after changing/drying there is tons of fluid in there sometimes it seems hard to tell with all the increased secretions during pregnancy!
Congratultions to you on the pending birth of your baby :)

Go ahead and call your doctor. The is what they are there for. If your water is leaking, don't take a tub bath, only a shower or wash with a wash cloth. Don't have sex either. If the waters are leaking, then you are risk for infection to enter.
Your waters will replenish every three hours, so don't worry about not having any water in the sac. But this will allow leaking to continue.
Also, you may have a leaking bladder from the weight, size and position of your baby. Try smelling of the liquid that is leaking out.

But your best bet is to call your doc or go in to see him/her. Just to be safe.

Awww, mommie! This is your first isn't it? A slow leak in a water bag may produce a little moisture. Just keep yourself clean and make sure your sanitary products are very sanitary. Call your doctor all you want. S/he is going to collect THOUSANDS for delivering your baby. That's what s/he is there for to ease your mind and make sure you have a safe delivery.
Usually a broken bag will gush! Labor pain will follow. Take it easy and don't worry. You are almost at the finish line (40 weeks is the norm)
Good luck with your baby. Enjoy your little bundle of joy!

This is what I was told (I am 38 weeks). Lay down for about a half hour, the "water" will build up in your vagina and when you stand up it will leak out - otherwise it is just normal pregnancy discharge.

But - your dr is there for you 24/7 and if you want to call her 80 times a day, you can. (But i know how you feel you don't want to be the pain in the butt that the office complains about)

Nothing is stopping you from calling. When your water breaks it will usually do one of two things. Either it will completely gush out and soak everything around you, (which doesn't happen often as the baby's head is usually blocking the "exit path") or it will trickle out every so often when the baby moves. My second one did the latter of the two. I wasn't sure, I almost thought that I was having incontinence problems (not surprising when you're 9 months pregnant) until it continued for several hours. So I went to the hospital and they said, congrats! you're in labor. Four hours later my son was born.

Most of the time in real life, water doesn't break on it's own. By the time you are far enough in labor for it to break, you are already at the hospital because of the pain. The doctor broke mine with 2 of my babies. I did have my water break on it's own woth my son, BUT- I sat home in labor for 6 hours before going to the hospital. It was definately different than all of the discharge and anything else I had going on at that time. If you are super nervous, call the doc- that's what they are paid for.

If your water has broken, you will continue to leak, most likely when you are laying down as when you stand sometimes teh baby's head will block the flow, but if you are walking around every so often you will feel a slight trickle, just try moving around, lying then getting up and see if more fluid comes out. If so, call the doc.

Well My water broke when i got up in the morning to pee, and it just went SPLASH in the toliet, but you could be also experiencing yourself pee-ing on yourself, i did that a few weeks before i had my son, where you bladder leaks, or something like that, cuz i thought my water broke with just a little bit of water and i asked my friend who had a baby and its just probably pee-ing a little bit, but then again some women when their water breaks leaks slowly, but i was a waterfall, so good luck and congrats! im sure everything will go with the flow

Call your doctor anyway. Better to be safe then sorry. Once your water does break there is no going back. Delivery is usually within 24 hours.

you will know when your water breaks when you get a gush of fluid. it's not just ther normal pregnancy gush. it will continue to leak uncontrollably such as when you cough or something. for me it wasn't a gallon of water rushing out like you see on tv. it was a leaking out in gushes. if you had only a little bit in the morning and are not haveing anymore, then your fine. it's just the normally fluid leakage you get when pregnant
