The copper line is already done by my builder and I have the fridge on the way but need to know how to connect the two. Can someone help me out?

How do I connect it to the inlet?

the delivery guy said they won't do it :(
So a plastic inlet attaches to a copper line? There's no threads on the copper part and the plastic certainly can't secure itself to copper without them right?

You need a 1/4" compression coupling and possibly a 1/4" plastic ferrule w/brass insert. About $2 at Home Cheapo.

On the fridge (usualy lower right hand corner) there is a threaded (usualy plastic) water inlet that the water line screws into (be extreamly carefull not to cross thread it).Or let the delivery guy hook it up(no big deal if you have all the parts).Ok if there isn't a screw thingy on the coper pipe go buy a 1/4" compression fitting.Put it on the copper tubeing /push into the hole and tighten(DO NOT CROSS THREAD!!!)

Measure the copper line installed by the builder and the inlet on the fridge a trip to the hardware store with those measurements and you should be in business.......I suggest you purchase a long life filter to install inbetween to protect the ice maker from deposits and build-up

Refrigerator Water Line Connector

There should be a compression fitting to hook up copper line to fridge. most of them are on the bottom right side of fridge. Don't forget to leave about 6ft of tubing coiled up so you can move fridge in and out if you have too.

Hook the hose up to the fridge water inlet & tighten.

It's all compression fittings. You'll need two 5/8" open end wrenches.

You will probably have to solder them together. I think. I have done water heaters and those were that way.
