Go to control panel. Add/Remove programs. Find it on the list. Click remove.

Yay another one! I too hate IM and don't use it. I hated the pop ups from people I didn't know. Go to IM there should be an uninstall button. Or try start, control panel, add/delete, and see if its on the list and remove it.

trash it or use the 'uninstaller' that came with the download file if there is one in it

delete it from your programs on your computer's hard drive
