When next time you update/charge your ipod, just uncheck the songs you don't want in your list.

plug your ipod into your computer when you plug it in and the ipod symbole comes up on itunes click the ipod button it shows all the songs click the first song and hold shift then scroll to the bottum of the songs and click that then click delete on the key boared if it freezes up it because your computer is running slow so exit out and go back in do the same thing but instead of highlighting all the songs just do like 20 or 30 and it should work and do that untill all the songs are gone

There are many ways of doing this.
The easiest is to rest your ipod which is to first make sure your ipod is plugged into your computer or charger. Second You switch the hold button on then off. Finally Hold the Center button and the Menu Button.
If you dont want to do this you could also connect your ipod to your computer select all the songs and press the delete button on your keyboard. (To select all the songs clikc the first song hold shift on the keyboard and select the last song) Then select move to recycle bin.

open up iTunes. and find the songs you want to delete. on the left hand side there should be a 'tick' uncheck this and when you next update your iPod it wont be there. but it will still be in ur iTunes. or click on the song/songs and hit the delete button. ive got a iPod mini but i think the iTunes are pretty much the same so it should work. hope this helps. :]
