I would think New World would be capitalized. If you are using the word as another name for Earth capitalize it as a proper noun. In other usage, such as saying something like world use of gasoline has increased over the past 20 years I think you don't use capitols.

Well i think it's just a way to show the increase of the voice on that word during a speech when it's written.It's the same thing for all other words.I don't think there is a special usage for the capitalization of the word "world".

When it's a name or part of a name, like The New World, World Health Organisation, New World Order, etc. But in the case of simple expressions like "the whole world", or "all over the world", world just takes a lower case w.

How about a title like World Trade Center but not by itself. There is not enough clean water in the world -- would not be capitalized.

Hardly ever, just depends on context like using "The Third World," but people hardly ever use that term anyways, at least not in the sociology or anthropology world.
