No, that's acually a real good rate, and it will proably take 'um about an hour with all the hoses and having to replace the coolant, I garruntee you won't find a better rate,, sheesh, I'de pay that gladly just to forgo the hassel and mess, and it would take longer than an hour. You should thank the mechanic for his honesty,, looks like he is trying to do you a favor.

Sounds reasonable to me. Unless you are friends with a mechanic then pay him $60 under the table. You can be sure that that $80 does not actually go to the worker.

all depends if it was done at a shop not really this is job that takes only an hour at the most to do at a shop that will be close but if family or friend done the job yes it was way to much friends and family are supposed to help each other
