How often is "normal" for a couple to have sex? How many times do you and your spouse have sex? I know this is personal and you do not have to answer if you don't want to. Please, no perverted or stupid remarks. Thank you.

My husband and I waited to have sex until we were married. Neither of us were virgins, by any means, but we both agreed it would be better if we waited. And it was. We both have low sex drives and we are both SO busy. When we come home at night, all we want to do is interact with our dog, talk a bit, and then go to bed.

I would say that 2-3 times a week is normal. But i know for me and my husband we may not do anything during the week cause we are busy are stressed out. then on the weekends we will do it 3-4 times a day. It just depends on you.
you act like it doesn't bother you but yet your asking the question.
i would talk to him and just see what he thinks. If he is really OK and you are too. then that's how your relationship works and i wouldn't change it at all.

It really depends on the couple. My husband and I both have high sex drives we somtimes would make love 2 or 3 times a day on the weekend. The work schudule has a huge affect on this. When he started working 80 hours a week I'd make love to him as soon as he walked in the door or we would take a shower together and take a nap together. Then I would get up and cook dinner and we would eat and he would go back to bed. I knew that if I didn't make time for it when he first got home his post work exhaustion would kick in and we wouldn't be able to. Sometimes we would only make love like once a week. There's no proper amount of times. It's amatter of communication and making the time.Don't fret if you have a lull in your sex life it's normal.

Define "normal" -can't be done.
Normal is going to be whatever you feel is normal for you. You as a couple need to figure out what you are comfortable with!!
Everyone has a different sex drive!
My first husband and i had it everyday almost.
My second husband and i had sex maybe twice a month - he had a lower sex drive!
I was happy both ways - i do not base my life or relationship off of how may times i have sex.
For me, quality beats out quantity
If you have severly different sex drives, then you need to sit down together as mature adults and talk about it. Remeber if you are married you should be best friends. Also, i would think you had figured this out before getting married!

It varies from week to week. Some weeks not at all, other weeks five or six times or even more. I'd say our annual per week average is 2-3. Although a lot of the married guys I know complain so much, I would have to say their avg. is 0-1

It depends doesn't it? How old are you? how long have you been married? How is your health? Do you have kids? How old?
I'm 44, been married 16 years, 3 kids - ages 4, 7, & 9. I'm doing good if I have sex once or twice a week - not doing so good lately - my wife's health interferes - her back hurts, she's too tired, the medicine she's on destoys her drive.....

I don't know if there is a norm for that. My wife and I will sometimes go weeks without having sex and then other times we enjoy 'being married' a few times a week. Other times we 'help' the other one out if one of us isn't up for it. I wouldn't stress over it.

according to pyschologists more than once a day or less than once a week is abnormal. It all depends on how comfortable you two are. If you of you want it more there should be some point of sacrifce from the other. Sex breeds intimacy and closness.

well, it depends upon the couple how many times they have sex. Me and my husband make love almost every night lasting from 45 minutes to an hour. And i don't like it being called "sex", i prefer it"making love".

Normally about 3 times a week, depending on our work schedules for the week, that kind hinder any married couple sometimes.

it happens to alot of married couples.Men are in their prime when they are in their early 20's,women in their early 30's.I've been married for 17 yrs.Let's just say it's my turn to get frustrated. We are both phisically healthy and are active 2-3 times a week as long as someone's not really sick or totally stressed out.Right now,we're both happy with the results.
