solutions:
1. Purchase new USB external floppy disk
2. if you Have flash drive: take all your floppy disks to any computer near you, cypercafe for example and copy them on your flash disk then copy them back to your laptop.
3. if you don't have flash disk, also take all your floppies on some computer that have CD-Writer, and copy all of them on a CD, then copy it on your laptop

You can buy a floppy drive that you can connect to your laptop. Then if you wanted to totally switch to CD's rather than floppy's, all you would have to do is save the files that are on the floppy's disks, and then burn them onto some blank CD's.

First you will need a media storage (blank CDs, USB Flash Drive, etc.) that will accomodate your files from your old floppy discs. You will have to use another computer that has a floppy drive so you can transfer all your files and burn / copy those to the cds, flash drive, etc. If there isn't any other computer you can use, then your only alternative is to buy an external floppy drive for your notebook.

Go get an external floppy disk. It'll connect to your new laptop through one of the USB ports(you should have at least two to three). It'll cost maybe $40 and you can get it at any retailer, like Circuit City, Best Buy, Fry's, etc.

For the future, get a USB flash drive. It's way easier to carry everything around in this little memory unit the size of a pack of gum than hauling 10 floppy disks with you. Computers aren't even made with them anymore.

Hi,
Since your new laptop doesn't have an internal flopppy drive included, you can buy a USB floppy drive and just plug it in to the laptop. I
recently purchased a new Gateway computer.
It did not have a floppy drive. I need a floppy
drive so I purchased a USB floppy drive. Now
I have a floppy drive. I would recommend
purchasing one of these. They are not expensive.

Does it have a USB port? If so, copy all your data from the floppy into a folde on a different computer, then copy it back into a memory stick. They inexpensive and can hold a lot of data. They come in, 16, 32, 64, 128 and higher megabites.

Good luck

same happened to me, i noticed i had no floppy drive, I went to a shop and bought myself a usb sitck of 1.0 gb. this is the only thing you can do, you will have to buy a usb stick, but they are much better than floppy disks, if you want to transfer your data from floppy to usb, connect your old computer again, install your usb on it and insert the floppy, then transfer the data from floppy to usb.

Easy.
:)

Many local Libaries still use old computers so they may stil have floppy disks. They usally also have USB ports. You can use the libary computers to transpher the information. This saves you lots of money instead of buying a floppy drive.

If you can afford to buy a floppy disk drive, please do so, if not try to find someone who has a floppy drive then save your file on his hard drive then send it by email to your email address.
