You're not doing anything "wrong" - it is normal for a couple to take up to a year to conceive. Since you have been trying longer, you may consider active methods - check out www.fertilityfriend.com to help you chart your cycle and learn about predicting when you ovulate. But you should consider talking to your doctor about running some tests. It could very well be an easy problem to fix.

Everyone's cycle is different. There is a myth that woman ovulate 14 days after their period begins...but that is only an AVERAGE and each month can be different. The other thing is that sperm can live inside you for up to 5 days.... so if you are having a shortened cycle one month and you have sex right after your period and you ovulate earlier than day 14 than yes, there is a chance of getting pregnant. They only way to know is to know exactly when you ovulate. There are several ways to know and some are more effective than others. Some can only predict before ovulation happens and some can only predict that is has already happened. The absolute best info I can give you is to go read a book called Taking Charge of your fertility by Toni Weschler. It will help you understand your body and all the myths about it. It will help you time when you are ovulating and the best times to conceive – or not! . It's about knowing your body and knowing when you are fertile or not. You can pick and choose what you do with your info. Good luck and don't listen the all the myths! Even if you don't get into charting and everything....it will help you in so many ways!

Sunshine, to get pregnant you must have sex on a day that your eggs are being released.

After the 3rd day from the day that menses started put a thermometer into your mouth and check your body temperature every morning before you start turning in bed. The best time is at about 4 a.m. Maintain a chart. You will find that on one day the body temperature drops from 1/2 degree to one degree. This is the day that your eggs are being released. If you want to get pregnant this is the day that you must have sex. Tell your husband to ejaculate on his inward thrust so that the sperms will shoot deep inside.

After having sex you must stay in bed for about 30 mins with your knees bent up with a pillow under your buttocks so that the sperms will not pour out - to enable them to travel up.

Get your husband to save his sperms in the testacles for at least 3 days before sex to enable them to mature well to do their job.

you gained't be doing something incorrect. If u breastfed properly, this may impact your body gadget and it is going to take a lengthy time period b4 u're able to conceive back. 4 months isn't a lengthy time period, truly. provide it it sluggish and verify out now to not try too not person-friendly. merely stay typically and your being pregnant will are available in good time. yet when u're truly worried or suspect that something might want to be incorrect, u might want to target seeing a gynaecologist. yet i don't think of that's critical for now. i'm TTC too, my toddler is about the same age as yours and that i recognize the delay is as a results of breastfeeding. i ended breastfeeding some months in the past. it's going to happen quickly. you'll see. Goodluck

The late Benny Hill would say "Put another man on the job."

Have your husband change from briefs to boxers, and wear looser pants. Sperm motility and production are affected by temperature.

Both you and your husband should exercise moderately and eat right.

You and your husband need to go see a fertility specialist doctor. It may be you, or it may be him, or it may be both. The fertility specialist can outline a course of action to improve your chances after examining you both.

Uh, are you on Mars? If you haven't become pregnant after two solid years of trying you (and/or your husband) are suffering fertility problems. Are you telling me this hasn't occurred to both of you? Geesh! Consult the doctor who will probably send you for fertility testing. I shudder to think of you reproducing since neither you nor your husband seems to have realized you have this problem.

Assuming both of you are healthy, you only have a 48-hour window where you have to have sex to get pregnant. If you have a good idea of when you are ovulating, try having sex everyday for about a week.

Regular exercise for both of you should help as well.

Make an appointment with an infertility specialist. After so many years, don't waste time on any other doctor. They will rule out all blockages, hormonal problems, low sperm count, egg/sperm incompatibility, etc. Good luck!
