when you crack your knuckles, you break a carbon dioxide bubble that forms in the joint space. By itself, it does not cause arthritis, large joint, deformities, or any other old wives tails. Now because you are opening the joint ever so slightly, be careful with other joints, where the nerves are lying along the sides of the joint,

Do you crack your back or neck to relieve discomfort? That is probably fine, but if you need to do it a lot you should go to a chiropractor to have it done right. Otherwise it will get worse in the long run. It is not harmful in itself.

for knuckles its not bad. IN DECREASES YOUR RISK OF GETTING ARTHRITIS. so dont listen to those idiotic people who are going to say, "cracking your knuckes are bad". they jsut say that cause its irritating. but for the other parts im not too sure but they dont sound too healthy to me.

when you crack your knucles

if it's done to re-align things, then it's good for you in the near-term
if you do it all the time and/or do it unnecessarily, then it can be less-than-good for you
