If you are travelling from the UK, Iceland Express from Stansted is the only budget airline to fly to Reykjavik.

The national carriers BA and Icelandair fly the route but tend to be more exspensive

Definitly use the airline Icelandair,it is the best bargain not only for travel to Iceland, but to many other european destinations, the quality of service was top drawer, only draw back is that Icelandair flies out of very limited U.S. cities.Check with Icelandair on their 800 number to find their departure cities. We flew out of Boston,so we had to take a domestic flight from St.Louis to Boston first. The Nordica hotel is nice but is a airport hotel,so you are stuck away from the city & it is costlyto pay to go into the city of Reykavik, we stayed at a B&B in town,so that we could walk around, tours are reasonable,food/drink is expensive, avoid the boutiques & shop in regular dept.stores for woolen items at much less cost, shop like an Icelander & save by avoiding the tourist traps. The weather is most variable even in summer/fall bring warm clothes,be sure to take a swim suit for the hot springs that abound they are so great to body/mind,be sure to get the therapudic massages& facials, you'll go home feeling like a million even if it cost you half that.Remember Iceland is not a cheap destination,it costs alot to be an Icelander too.It is worth it. wish I was going, but maybe next year.

Iceland air vacations does really cheap airfare and a great hotel that the airline owns. I did this package in Feb with my husband! The hotel is called the Nordica and it is really nice! I would recommend going to Iceland we had a blast and there were a lot of tours you can take plus the country is beautiful
