Upper lip hair. What to do when it's not a milk moustache
During your teenage years and even into your twenties, you might find dark hair popping up in the most unexpected - and unwanted - places on your face: your upper lip, your chin, even on your neck. Some women let these hairs be. But if you decide that your facial hair is excessive or particularly dark you have some options.
For upper-lip hair ("mustaches') you can try any of these methods:
facial-hair bleach, available at a drugstore. Just remember, don't leave it on for more than the recommended time period because you can risk burning your skin.
a depilatory: This is a cream that removes the hair. It, too, can burn and usually smells terrible.
waxing: You can go to a beauty salon to get waxed, or do it yourself, although waxing at home can be tricky - and messy.
For stray, randomly appearing hairs, tweezing is your best option. Be aware that this option may cause ingrown hairs. One thing you should do is leave the razors for the guys. Shaving can cause hair to grow back coarser, whereas waxing can actually help hair eventually grow back thinner.
Other much more expensive options for almost permanent hair removal are electrolysis and laser hair removal, but these approaches can cost hundreds or thousands of dollars. If you do decide to have one of these procedures performed, be sure to go to a licensed practitioner for the best service. Inquire about the potential side effects of these procedures. Just find the option that works best for you.
try nair, it works well.

I use Sally Hansen's waxing kits. It works pretty good but you have to make sure rub in the direction of hair growth and then pull against it. I would prefer to get it done professionally though they always seem to get the tiniest hairs. I have not noticed that waxing makes the hair thicker it should makes the hair finer.

Hair that is "waxed" out by the roots grows back with a softer follicle head since it was not cut by a razor. A follicle cut by a razor also has a darker appearance because it has a flatter surface (Head). That is why it appears darker after it grows back after shaving.
Getting it professionally waxed by a license Esthetitian is your best best. They have a spray that will numb you (if you even need it) and they are very quick. Call your local spa.

Nair or a similar product.
As for whether waxing makes it thicker...I have no proof one way or the other, but I have heard that.

I am a guy, but wud give you good advice. Go for electrolysis (not laser), it works like nothing else. The total process might require 7 - 10 sittings but it is worth it. My girl got it done for her eye brows and for last 7 years they are absolutely fine and she has never touched them since then.
Please make sure you go to a good practioner.
