Children are curious about bodies, theirs and other peoples.

If your child is asking what things are, answer honestly and simply and change the subject. (ie: "That's daddy's penis, just like your penis" or "That's Daddy's penis. Boys have a penis to pee-pee like girls have a vagina.") At a young age, this teaches that there is nothing about the body that's dirty or bad or embarassing.

It's also a good time to explain that some body parts are private, and that no one but mommy, daddy and the doctor are allowed to touch or look at his/her private parts, and that if anyone ever tries, he/she should tell you and mommy right away.

But if that doesn't dismiss the subject, if they stare or keep trying to touch things after you've repeated that that's your private area, or if they seem embarassed or are trying not to look, then they've probably outgrown it. For opposite sex children, this starts around 2 1/2 or 3. For same sex children, it's more when they start wanting to play alone in the shower, but for utilitarian uses (scrubbing off mud or food coloring or at the public showers at a beach/pool) you may be sharing a shower for a long time.

if your son starts off to show he needs a tub on my own then it relatively is a sparkling sign it's time to stop shared baths yet he does not seem bothered so i does not exchange issues purely yet. notwithstanding, quickly he will desire extra independence and privateness so interior of here couple of months think of approximately him bathing on my own as he desires to start washing himself and bathing in a touch extra mature way the place a tub isn't seen as yet another play time as lots yet extra of a necessity to maintain sparkling. each and every newborn is diverse nevertheless yet whilst the youngster's a while have been any opposite direction around i'd stop as women mature quickly and desire extra privateness. you comprehend your infants extra advantageous than all people nevertheless so which you have got seen attempting.

I'd say about six months. At that age they start to notice things and make a grab for them. Plus, in this day and age, social workers will take away your kid for any little thing they can.
