I havent watched it yet but i hear from other people its really good and some other people says its not good as part one? but i want ur opinion?

it was crap worse than the 1st one which i thought would be hard to beat ....crap

True, it's not as good as part one in my opinion. Some reasons why I think so:
1. Characters excluding Depp are shallow and full of cliche's. 1st part did this far better, there actually was some character development you couldn't guess in the beginning of the movie.
2. It was far too long for a movie like this. There are stories which can't be told in less than 2 and a half hours, but this definitely was not one of them. What this movie gives you is action and comedy, and that sure isn't something that absolutely requires this long a movie. Some scenes could easily have been half the length they were and still provide the same thrill, comedy and plot development. The fact that the movie ends in a cliffhanger only makes it feel worse; after thinking "when does this end?" for almost half an hour, you suddenly realise that it doesn't end.
Now, don't get me wrong: there were hilarious parts in the movie, and I think it is worth watching if you liked the first part or like movies of this type in general. But I would recommend to rent and watch this just a little before you can go and watch the third part. Watching both on the same day could unfortunately be far too tedious.

It's not as good as the original film... but it is still GREAT and as it really is just the first half of part 3 I really hope that 2 and 3 together will surpass the first one.
Great effects and great acting.
Arrrgh matey row down to the video store or tis the pank for ye!

Not as good as part one - true.
Too long - wrong.
Bad ending - wrong.
Cliff hanger - true.
It was very good, especially the 2nd and 3rd times. People are always hard on sequels when the first was so awesome. It was funny, action-packed, and had great effects. Johnny is as good as ever. And it was not too long because I was never bored. Besides, the longer the movie, the more bang for your buck.

It is a brilliant film, but not as good as the first. It's better for laughs, I was in hysterics a few times lol but the story drags a little and it has quite a frustrating ending.
But well worth the watch, be it for swashbuckling, action, adventure, humour, a little romance, or just eye candy. ^_^ lol

I thought it was very good. But don't expect the same excitement as the first one as we all know the ropes.
But once Pirates 2 gets rolling it's great entertainment.
2 good films if you get the chance.

The first film was a huge success! Everyone loved it, personally, I wasn't pleased with how the 2nd one turned out. It has a terrible ending and they try to leave you wondering but it didn't work for me, but I'm sure the 3rd one will catch on.

I liked it, but it was definitely not as good as part 1. It had a few really good scenes, but really it was just setting the scene for the third movie.
My biggest complaint is that it was way to long at 2h 25m

i like the first one better...but the 2nd one was really good for a sequal!!!!!! i loved it, too!!! you should def. go see it because it is amazing and is the best movie of the year!!!!!!!!!!! this one had even better special effects, more orlando bloom (which is always nice ;), and johnny depp is incredible and sexy haha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO SEE IT...cause you're missing out!!! and the only thing that i had a problem with it was that it was a bit to long...but i know, they took a five hour movie and cut it in half for the 3rd one!!!!!
but, you'll have to see it in order to have your own opinion of liking it because my best friend told me it was a bad movie, so i was thinking, maybe it is bad...but it really isn't and i love it!!!!!!!!!!

wooden acting,not much of a plot,Depp is unbelievable as a
captain,the same "sea monster" keeps coming back repeatedly
(too often) and it shows a lack of creativity.Actually,you don't
seem to connect with the characters.You don't really care if they live or die.See World Trade Center instead.

i would have to say that that the first one was better the 2 one had a bad ending i think they leave you hanging but it will probably be better with the 3 one
