I wanted a barbie doll, the house, and all the clothes but never got it. My cousin was so spoiled and I envied her so bad! I guess I learned to appreciate the little things and still do but I still wanted my Barbie!

A Cabbage Patch Kid. It embarrasses me to think back on how much I cried for one of those things!

I wanted the barbie house too lol. I never got it, or a doll house with all the doll house things like tiny plates etc. Or a clubhouse in the back yard or tree. I still do but I know I am too old for that any more.

Its okay to envy your cousin when your little its only natural, but now it really is time to let it go. There are so many different ways to help you forget about it, become closer to your cousin find a way to become friends. Or go out and buy a barbie dall for god's sake!

Then ... When I was freshman in high school, I wanted a date with a very in demand girl that was a senior. I could never speak to her, cause I'd lose the ability to speak.

Now ... I recently saw her in town for her reunion, and she's not in demand anymore. Some people age gracefully, but ... she's doing the opposite.

Funny how we want some things, then those things weren't what you envisioned.

When I was about 3 or 4, I made up this thing called a "scoo-boo", and I just had to have it. For most of a summer, I kept telling my mom "that's a scoo-boo" so she would buy me stuff. When the next cool thing came along, I would say "no mommy, that's not a scoo-boo, THIS is". It was the most manipulative (and petty) thing I think I've ever done.

when I was 14 I had the worst crush on a 21 year old. He thought I was a little girl. I knew, just knew, I was destined to marry him.

I didn't, but I have a much better husband than he would have been.

There are a lot of things! Most of them I have found I can live without. The more you own,the more you have to worry about someone taking from you.
