1. Well, probably because the majority of the people in this country are white, and it usually takes a long time for someone who has an extensive education and experience to work their way up to a successfull politician.

2. Every president does not have to be white. That is not a prerequisite. We elect our President.

If you want to ask questions about racial separation, ask why the NAACP will not give a scolarship to a white male.

Well, the old white guys are there because that...they are old and have been there a while. These people came into thier seats at a time that equality was still just a word in the dictionary. Couple that witht he fact most people tend to vote for the incumbant so it is hard to get these poeple out of office.

The white president I see as this. The think tanks of both parties realize there are still groups out there that will not allow for a minority president. Therefore they throw their support behind the white canidates so as to have a better chance at getting their nominee elected. I know that sounds bad but that is my opinion of a brutal truth.

Because to be in those positions of higher power, you have to put time in lower positions. So by the time you are in the upper echelons of the gov't, you have spent a lot of time in 'the game' and are thus aged.

As to why are they all white, it is becasue the voters at the time didn't have someone to vote for that they felt was more qualified than the white person. We'll have a non-white President someday. One that is qualified and well liked needs to run though. Gen Powell is a popular choice, but I doubt he would run. Rice is getting attention, but just because, I think, the Repubs want to counter the 'female' action of a Hillary campaign. Lol, that's 2 non-white potential candidates from the Republican side and none from the Democrat side, the supposed side that is pro-minority. Obama is to young, we'll see him in 2012 or 2016.

the people in our government are the people that won their elections. the reason there aren't more of your favorite color people if white doesn't suit is because they haven't won their elections. pretty simple really. every president doesn't have to be white, in fact, condileza rice will most likely be not only our first black president, but also, our first female president at the same time. before she and colin powell acheived such high level cabinet posts, certain politicians on the democratic side drew great praise for making a black man the HUD secretary and surgeon general.

This is rubbish. The front men may be white, but those with real power are Native Americans, their sovereign power assured by the Jay Treaty and many statutes and rulings of the Supreme Court.

Never mind that old guy behind the curtain pulling those levers of power. He is following the instructions of Red Chief, who, having been ransomed, is now dictating the events of the age.

It's been that way since the country was founded. Educate yourself and run for office. Change can't happen without everyone's voice. good luck.
