QUIT LOOKING FOR ANSWERS TO YOUR PROBLEMS OUTSIDE OF YOURSELF. THE WORLD DOES NOT CATER TO YOU AND DOES NOT OWE YOU ANYTHING.
HUMANS COME EQUIPPED WITH DEFENSE MECHANISMS TO EASE DISCOMFORT. YOU CUT, USE DRUGS, AND TAKE MEDS TO AVOID RELYING ON YOURSELF. WHY?
HUMANS ALSO COME EQUIPPED WITH ENOUGH INTELLIGENCE TO ANSWER MOST OF OUR OWN QUESTIONS AND FIND OUR OWN SOLUTIONS IF WE LOOK INSIDE OURSELVES.
WE CAN GAIN WISDOM IF WE LOOK FOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN SOMETHING FROM EVERYTHING THAT DOESN'T GO "RIGHT" OR THE WAY WE EXPECT.
EVERYONE JUDGES EVERYONE ELSE, SOMETIMES VALID AND SOMETIMES UNFAIRLY. IF WE JUDGE OURSELVES UNFAIRLY, THEN OTHERS WILL, TOO.
YOU ONLY DO SELF-DISTRUCTIVE THINGS BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW ANY BETTER, HOW TO COPE WITH YOUR DISCOMFORT. BIPOLOR CAN SOMETIMES BE CONTROLLED WITH YOUR DIET, BUT SOMETIMES YOUR BODY WON'T PRODUCE THE CHEMICALS IT NEEDS TO FUNCTION CORRECTLY. THAT IS THE ONLY CASE WHERE YOU NEED MEDICATION.
CUTTING AND DRUGS ARE AN ESCAPE FOR THOSE WHO ARE AFRAID TO CHALLENGE THEMSELVES, AND RESOLVE TO GAIN WISDOM. THEY REFUSE TO BELIEVE THAT THERE ARE OTHER, BETTER WAYS TO COPE.....
"MISTAKES" ARE MERELY OPPORTUNITIES TO TEACH YOU WHAT DOESN'T WORK. RESOLVE TO TRY SOMETHING ELSE. THAT IS WISDOM.
PROBLEMS AND OBSTACLES ARE OPPORTUNITIES IN DISGUISE, TO IMPROVE SOMETHING, OVERCOME SOMETHING, AND LEARN SOMETHING.
YOUR PAST IS YOUR PAST. IT IS ALL THE EXPERIENCE YOU HAVE GAINED, PLUS THE WISDOM. YOU CAN NEGATE YOUR PAST BY DOING DIFFERENTLY, AND LEARNING WHAT DOESN'T WORK.
BEING RESPONSIBLE MEANS DOING THE RIGHT THING, EVEN WHEN NO ONE IS LOOKING. SOME PEOPLE TURN TO GOD TO HAVE SOMEONE LOOKING, TO KEEP THEM IN LINE. OTHERS HAVE AN OVERDEVELPOED CONSCIENCE THAT KEEPS THEM IN LINE. WHATEVER WORKS FOR YOU, USE IT.
QUIT BEING SO SELF-ABSORBED AND SHARE YOUR GOOD STUFF IN YOUR PERSONALITY WITH OTHERS. DON'T MAKE EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU (WHAT YOU FEEL, WHAT MAKES YOU COMFORTABLE, WHAT YOU NEED) AND START FOCUSING ON OTHERS.
DO VOLUNTEER WORK AT AN ANIMAL SHELTER, SOUP KITCHEN, SALVATION ARMY, OR CHOOSE A CAREER PATH LIKE SOCIAL WORK. YOU COULD GAIN SO MUCH CREDIBILITY AS AN EXPERT, AND BE LIVING PROOF THAT PEOPLE CAN OVERCOME ADVERSITY.
YOU HAVE SO MUCH VALUABLE EXPERIENCE WITH WHAT DOESN'T WORK AND YOU HAVE YET TO LEARN WHAT DOES. tEACH YOURSELF BY GIVING YOUR TIME, ATTENTION, AND POSITIVE REGARD TO OTHERS. WHEN YOU TEACH SOMETHING, YOU LEARN IT.
YOU WILL SOON LEARN MORE GOOD THINGS ABOUT YOURSELF AND HOW VALUABLE YOU ARE TO OTHERS AND HOW MUCH THEY APPRECIATE YOU.......
I HAVE OFTEN THOUGHT (FORGIVE MY HARSHNESS) THAT DEPRESSION IS ADVANCED SELF-ABSORPTION, AND SUICIDE IS A PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE WAY TO HURT OTHER PEOPLE. THINK ABOUT IT.
QUIT REPEATING THINGS THAT DON'T WORK AND HURT YOU. YOU DON'T HAVE TO BE RIGHT ALL THE TIME. TRY SOMETHING NEW, OR TAKE A SUGGESTION FROM SOMEONE WHO HAS TRIED YOUR WAY (I AM REFERRING TO YOUR COPING SKILLS-OR LACK THEREOF).
BECOME A SOCIAL WORKER, A PEER WORKER, OR A COUNSELOR. I THINK YOU MIGHT FIND THAT QUITE REWARDING. SHARE YOURELF WITH THE WORLD, YOU HAVE SO MUCH TO GIVE.....

I was depressed for many years and suicidal. I had to try several medications to see what one worked the best for me and went to see a counselor before it got under control.
What really helped is a counselor that was good and experienced enough to help me see that I was the one in control of my life and it was easier to ask people for what I needed rather than trying to manipulate them to make me feel loved or cared about. But it didn't matter if they did care because I would not believe it anyhow due to all the other junk (pain I did not share) I was holding onto.
I had to do some hard work and dip down deeper to the pain in my life (my core issues) walk through it. I discovered that the depression was an unconscious decision to be depressed rather than deal with the fear, rejection, shame and hurt I was experiencing underneath it.
So, there is a reason to live... are you ready to make it happen?
Best wishes.... Jeanette

I am very depressed and have told my doctors that, but they don't seem to listen...and i may be bipolar too. but i don't want to commit suicide. you see, i have something to live for, and that is my 28 year old son. there is no way that I would want him to wonder why i did such a thing....and that is what keeping me from doing anything....don't you have a really true friend or family member that you can talk too? I, too, have had people judge me because of my past...and I tell them....yes...that WAS my past and I am changing for the better. and it works in most cases.
If you don't have a good friend, then get a pet....I have told my cat so many things and i know he won't go tell anyone and he always wants me to pet him. he NEEDS me to care for him and sometimes just know that some living thing NEEDS you to care for him/her and relies on you will help you a lot.....

Buy Dr Weils book "8 weeks to optimum health". Follow it exactly. I also recommend you work out more and start eating has healthy as you can. Stop intaking junk food and junk drinks like coke or pepsi. Dont go out to eat... make your own meals. Drink LOTS of water..at least 8 glasses a day. In a week I think you will feel better about yourself and who you are.
I was in a similar situation back in 2000. I had just shut down my music biz I was running for 5 years. It was successful but I had a ton of problems with my artists I was working with. So that plus the death of my girlfriend at the time (car crash) left me with no choice in my mind but to go to my family doctor and he prescribed paxil to me. I took it for a week or so and hated the effects. It felt like I was in a dream, up above my person and controlling my body with strings. Talk about a terrible medicine!!! I stopped taking it immediately and decided there had to be a better more natural solution for my depression. I wished my doctor would have suggested I work out and do some exercises instead of taking some magic pill. I havent been to a doctor now in 6 years. I will be in control of my fate from now on.
What Im offering you is to eat better, exercise, take full control of your life and your body and what you put into it. What im offering cannot harm you at all. We love you. You are beautiful. You are a human being. We all love you and we want you to make a smart decision for yourself. If for some reason after eating good, drinking water, and some exercise doesnt help your situation, move on to something else like going to a doctor.
Ive personally started a veggie garden in my backyard which is like a meditation experience in itself. Taking care of foods and growing foods that will eventually go into my body. Its a cycle of life in itself and its an incredible meditative experience to work in the garden and care about the food you will eat. Try it.

you talk like your life is over at 14. You may be going through some hard times now but your life has just begun, finish school. make good friends, look forward to going to college and talk to your parents more. You would be surprised at how much they would love to hear you come to them and talk about all your problems. If your parents don't have time , then go talk to a school counselor. they are trained to help in all the area's that you spoke of. Don't hurt yourself because you are loved so much, God loves you that he gave his only begotten Son so that you may have everlasting life. You'll be ok hon. Have some courage and hang in there.

I'm not a therapist and I don't know a good doctor in Texas, but at any minute of any day, your life may change for the better. You may meet a great friend or someone you'll fall in love with, you may come across a great job, etc. Everyone has to work for happiness, and it sounds like you are trying. Please keep trying....

You have every reason to live! The best advice I can give you --it's free and it's with love -- You need to find a Spirit-filled church in your area. God has changed so many "hopeless" people's lives! He died for your deliverance from medications & mental illness. What's the harm in trying Him? God bless!

get a pet, do simple jobs like gardening, or anything that keeps you physically and mentally involved and yet can be done by anybody.the very fact that you have opened your feelings to others and are open to other's suggestions is itself an encouraging sign that you are learning to fight your depression. remeber, god gave us just this 1 life to spend on earth. enjoy it to the brim, and have no regrets! guaranteed , you'll fell better
