It depends of your definition of normal.

If "normal for you means to be accepted in the wider of our modern society, or that the majority of average people do it, sure it is normal. I have even heard that fantasize is not only normal, but also healthy for relieving internal pressures.

But if you ask to somebody in a very tight religious community or orthodox thinking, they would say it is not, but remember, they are not a majority.

The thing is that a large part of that majority doesn't talk about it for being afraid of being rejected or misunderstood.

yes, it means that you would like to have a better friendship with them. Doesn't necessarily mean you want to do it with them. Some people have dreams they are having sex with their parents or strangers. Many dreams can't be directly interpreted.
