While I am not sure that it is entirely what you are looking for, I have a book called Totally Devoted which is just lovely. It is a New Zealand book and is tru short stories of love and some of loss. Some are written from both people's perspectives which is really sweet and it's a very heart warming book. I really like it. A bookshop should be able to order it for you. It is by Sue McCauley.

I have read the Notebook and it is an awesome story. I would suggest Nora Roberts - In the Garden Trilogy - The Blue Dahlia, the Black Rose and the Red Lily. These stories build on each other, so you need to read them all. This series was very good because it had a bit of everything; romance, mystery and it is a bit of a ghost story.

And, if that doesn't tempt your fancy, then try "Gone with the Wind". It is always a very fine read. Enjoy and best of luck in finding a terrific romance story.

The notebook was the best book ever!!! I totally agree. I read most of Nicholas Sparks' books years ago, and I loved most of them. If you haven't, then my alltime favorite of his is The Guardian. My sister's fave was The Rescue. They are all good love stories, so try reading some of those. If you already have, I read an older book that was a good love story, it was an Danielle Steele book. I think it was called Hearbeat, or something like that. Good luck to you, and happy reading.

The Locket by Richard Paul Evans
When Calls the Heart by Jannett Oke
A Walk to Remember by N.Sparks

I've heard that The Greatest White Trash Love Story Ever Told by Rhett Ellis is excellent, despite the bizarre title. I plan on reading that soon.

Well, I've never seen or read The Notebook, but one of my favorite books is The Princess Bride by William Goldman and I've heard it described as the ultimate love story.

anything from Nora Roberts is good plot and romance without being pornographic. She does a lot of plots about magic but does some mystery plots also. But still, very good reading- and I hate romance novels. so that says something.
