"Back alley abortions?"?

Why do libs immediately say that anti abortion legislation is "making" women have back alley abortions? We are saying, "TAKE FREAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS AND HAVE YOUR CHILD." Don't murder him/her selfishly, stand up, and be an adult, instead of acting like a spoiled child.

Its funny how some of you are saying let the conservatives adopt all the would be aborted children. Do you know how long the waiting lists are for Adoption agencies? Probably not. the fact is that people are going outside the U.S. in order to adopt a child, b/c irresposible people are just killing them, so your argument is not valid, but keep putting your opinions into fact-based statements, they are fun to prove incorrect.

True but some people won't take responsability and will turn to back ally abortions. The problem is that if people want to get rid of their babies then they will, even if it means giving birth then dumping it in a park. At least with the option it can be done properly.

Laws were put into place which has over the years saved many lives because back alley abortions were no longer necessary.
Legislation that will take away a woman's right to abortion will put these woman right back where it all started and that's not right. Many young girls have lost their lives because of lack of legislation.
When you say stand up and take resonsibility for getting pg., well, okay, you are right. However, you and we all know that this is not and never is going to be the case. This is going to cause more deaths, because of unwanted pg's. We don't live in a picture perfect world. People are not going to stop killing because it means if caught the electric chair is the only outcome. They are still going to kill, until they're caught. Same with girls getting pg. They are not going to suddenly stand up and "take responsibility" and stop being reckless, because legislation dictates that safe and legal abortion is no longer an option. They are going to remain in their lifestyles, stumbling along, and the very good ones, the angels, still making sexual human mistakes, and then go ou to get a back alley solution.

What people don't understand is it some women just can't take care of a child at a certain time of their life. Perhaps they are working for minimal wage and can barely take care of themselves. Or maybe they are in an abusive relationship and don't wish to bring a child into that kind of world. Or they don't even have insurance for themselves which would make it incredibly hard to pay for the babies' shots. If conservations really wanted to stop abortions, they would figure out a way to make sure that the child will be properly cared for. But what am I saying?? These are the same people who refused to raise minimal wage while giving themselves a raise AGAIN!!

I understand that is what you are saying. But the women who have abortions are afraid, afraid they won't be able to raise the child or afraid of what it will do to their life. It may be selfish, but they are human. If they are afraid bad enough (and most that have abortions are), they will go and do anything necessary to get rid of the child, including these "back-alley abortions" (abortions done by those without medical training and in a unsanitary place) and that will end up only in more deaths of women and children. Making abortions illegal isn't the answer, the answer is to provide the education necessary so that women know what is available to them, including various government programs to help pay for the child, governmetn daycare help, giving up the child for adoption, anything else I may have forgotten. That is how we lower the abortion rate.

We also need to work on the men. They go around having sex and promising the woman they'll be there, only to leave when the child arrives. When he leaves, she feels alone and is more likely to abort. We need to train men to take more responsibility, to pay at least child support and I say to do even more than that, to be there for the child and mother. These things will end abortion or at least lower it.

Oh if only the world were perfect the way you think it should be. Did you know that birth control fails? Guess what, it did with both my girls. My husband and I never intended to have children. EVER! But guess what because of idiots like you we both felt way to guilty to do anything about it. Now we are very unhappy parents. We were a VERY happy couple before and now we go through our day in a daze. My girls are very happy children, smiling all the time and playing. The best compliment I get on them is how happy they are. 1 and 3 years old. My guess is despite all this we will end up in divorce because we hate our lives so much. Actually the subject has come up. And we both agreed we both got ourselves into this we have to see it through. And hopefully in 20 years we can go back to being the VERY happy couple we were. So don't get me wrong I love my girls but if I had known then what I know now...

Well said and you couldnt be more right. The sad fact is that liberals seldom hold themselves accountable for their actions or inactions. This explains why social programs shy rocket under democratic terms. The best thing that we could do is put a huge fence around the state of Mississippi, give it to the liberals to live in and not let anyone in or out. Nobody would really miss Mississippi or the liberals so it appears to be a win win situation.

I agree that if a woman wants to get rid of her baby she will, one way or another. I do however feel that there should be more education to these young woman about how it's done and even show pictures of the aborted babies before allowing them to get one. I think abortions should be legal but there should be more education so these woman know exactly what is going to happen to their unborn babies. I've seen pictures of aborted babies and after seeing them I would not ever consider having the procedure.

What right wing extremists are saying is that they want to control women and use the law to force them to have babies they don't want. Making them have unwanted children as a punishment so they they have to take responsibility for their actions is a ridiculous faux argument that ignores the rights of women.

Maybe you should focus on why our infant mortality rate in America sucks so badly and why the richest country in the world can't even make the top 30 in the world for infant mortality rates. But then fascists like you don't give a crap about people once they are born do you?

Because the reality is, even when you make it illegal, woman will still decide they DO NOT want to carry a child in them and take to wire hangers or some kind of poison.

Yes, we should all take responsibility for all our actions, but we are just humans who do what we do. Why don't you pledge to take care of every child not aborted until they are 18 then the need will disappear.
