Don't list any rappers because rap is not music. I want to know about people who actually play an instrument or sing. I've been studying music for almost 13 years now, so don't play me for a fool.

Totally agree on rap, not really talent. How rich you are, how many women and cars you have isn't really music.
I like Classic Rock the best, Led Zeppelin, Stones, The Who, but newer rock isnt bad either - U2, Audioslave, Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Coldplay... a lot more
Since you study music, a band with complex musical songs is Dream Theatre. They were formed at Berklee.
