I'm ovulating and trying to get pregnant. I had a little bleeding the other day, and then bleeding when I had sex. It is not my period.

It can be normal to spot between periods, and during sex.

Perhaps you had some mild infection that stirred up some bleeding...probably nothing to worry about.

People go overboard with the idea of implantation bleeding...its really not all that common. Besides, you would not have implantation bleeding during ovulation. I think many people answering Yahoo questions are confused about this.

Don't worry about it. I've had what you are describing and asked my doctor. He said not to worry unless it continues or other weird things start happening.

For some women, "spotting is normal" bleeding is not. To tell the difference, spotting can be controlled by a panti-liner, where as full bleeding needs either a maxi or tampon to control. Some women tend to spot when they have intercourse or around time of ovulation. I myself don't have mid-cycle spotting. To check out other women's pregnancy charts and get a feel for when they spot, you can visit fertilityfriend.com.

If you have verification you are ovulating from a sustained temperature spike and possibly an ovulation predictor kit, and you chart your cycles from month to month, you can usually get a sense of your bodies way of "informing" you of ovulation by finding patterns from month to month.

Good luck!

I agree with Mary. I get bad cramps during ovulation, but spotted a little when I first got pregnant. Don't be too disappointed if you are not though. If it turns out you are not, you should discuss this with a doctor.

It's not exactly common in that *most* women don't bleed when they ovulate, but it's still perfectly normal and just another confirmation that you're ovulating.
