He is pretty annoying. I recently opened a Halifax account but I hesitated because of Howard! I suppose people know Halifax though because of the adverts.
I hate any adverts where people shout (HI, BARRY SCOTT HERE / DOES SEARCHING FOR CAR INSURANCE DRIVE YOU CRAZY?) or where people whisper but can't think of any. Shouting must work I suppose! The main purpose of adverts is to get their name known and get people talking about it, which works whether you love it or hate it.

Ugh I hate that Glade ad, the way he says 'i opt to do a poo at Paul's' merely truly receives on my nerves! The Neutrogena ad with Vanessa Hudgens annoys me too, even inspite of the undeniable fact that i take advantage of the product :)

Deffo. When they made the cartoon version of Howard, it looked like the kind of images they showed to kids in the Weimar Republic. I think they should have kept this, to give the kiddies nightmares.

He comes across as a very nice bloke...and recently I met some people who work with him and they prove my opinion.
The Bank ad that gets me is for Nationwide.
