When I am playing Quake 4, my laptop will shut the game down for no reason, at least I don't see any error messages when it does it. It usually happens when I am shooting my weapon and the enemies are as well but only when there are more than 3. I am not so much concerned for the game as my laptop.

I am thinking it could be something about my laptop can't keep up the frame rate. But I would like another opinion. If you know what is causing this please tell me how to fix it.

BTW my laptop is a Gateway NX260X. 2.00 Ghz Dual Core, 2 gigs of ram, 228 Mbs of video memory (onboard), virtual memory is system managed, and 80 gig hard drive.

Yes I know that this is in the wrong category. I got one answer in the right category.

You certainly have all of the stuff capable of playing Quake 4. Make sure that you don't have any other programs running when your playing. If the problem persists I would probably call Gateway about it.
