because the libs took away America's ability to listen to the terrorists... will you shout for joy b/c you think you "protected American freedom?" Or will you just blame it on Bush, like you do every time something goes wrong in the world?

Actually, DEEjay, the person who said this was unconstitutional was a judge from Michigan who was appointed by jimmy Carter... who is a stellar anti-American.

This question needs some clarity. Will there be 3 or 4 exercises of American air defenses at the time? Will Dick (Honest Buck) Cheney be in Washington or the FOB? Will the Prince of Babylon be reading another kids' book? Will Dr. (the Quack) Rice be reading any "historical" documents? Will the terrorists live with an FBI informant in San Diego? And finally will there be an election near (within 2 months)?

I would point out that despite our listening so far, torture done so far (and you know we torture because of how Bush and company dance around the question and then end up with they are justified to do anything they want to help the Americans), and all the fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan; we knew nothing about the terrorist plot going down in Britain. TSA (our security at the airports) knew nothing about anything. What caught the terrorists were the British and Pakistani intelligence units, neither of which use terror or illegal listening and wiretapping deals. Suggests to me that Bush's wiretapping attempts are failures, as is his torture attempts.
I agree fully that if it protected American lives, wiretapping should be allowed. Thing is, it obviously isn't protecting lives. What it is doing is time travel; it has brought us to a year away from 1984 when Big Brother (who based on descriptions in the book, looks very much like Geraldo Rivera, which is the scariest thing of all) controls all thoughts, writings, and even the past and future (or people's perceptions of it) and no one has any freedom. Wiretapping is more dangerous than anything any administration has done in the past, and it isn't helping at all. It is time to toss it out and learn from the British, Israelis, even Pakistanis on how to run an intelligence operation. They do so without getting rid of freedoms, unlike Bush and his crew.

We can still spy on Terrorist and if you think the government is not going to listen in on them you are not thinking properly. It sounds like you are just trying to make a point that really has not fact because you can still tap peoples phones you just have to have a court order. An remember your Supreme Court which is made up of more Republican then Democrats are the ones that declared what the President was do is unconstitutional. Think about that word (Unconstitutional)
