I can't speak to your ethnic, bald and fat questions, but the reason behind the spitting is that many of them either dip snuff or chew tobacco while playing ball.

they spit cause they are either dipping or chewing tobacco. especially those playing infeild tend to spit due to the dirt that gets picked up by winds or by running around and end up in thier mouth. baldness usually is genetics, ethnic cuz mlb consists of the best ball players from around the world. fat ? diet and lack of training.
