They were abused by Law enforcement and the media. Everyone wants someone to blame when these things happen and there are no suspects or leads. It was easy for society to blame them because people feel they put her out there in these beauty pageants, in grown up situations (wearing make up, modeling swimsuits) where she could possibly attract attention from people like Karr who see children in a way that they shouldn't (not that a child needs to do these things to be harmed in this way). They were demonized because there was a reason to be a little angry at them, and since there was no one else, they were accused of murdering her themselves. This just what happens when cases like these (and there are many) play out in the public eye, People take sides, create villians and hope for heroes.

Sorry, but I don't agree. I feel they know who killed that little girl and while no one "was ever found" to be the child's murderer, these people are at guilty of concealing evidence. there's too many inconsistencies and many times, "abuse" by law enforcement and media is the only way to pressure people into telling the truth, although in this case it hasn't worked.
I also feel that "they, themselves" abused the police and media.

I think law enforcement didn't do their homework. This was a small town so the police where inexperienced with cases like this but the denver PD and other big city departments offered to help but they turned down all offers.

yes i do. if they found evidence that someone forced themselves into the house they should have went after that lead and if the DNA found was not of any of the Ramsey's then they c should have cont. their search outside of the family.

Yes i feel horrible for that poor family. It's a shame that they couldn't clear her mothers name before she passed away. Little beauty queen can now rest in peace along with her mom now that they found her killer :)

There were holes in the family's stories. This is why they were under the "umbrella of suspicion".
