I think it's impossible to tarnish this administration any more than it has already done on it's own.

I didn't know this case had come down. It will likely be appealed up to a federal Circuit Court or the Supreme Court. The injunction or court order will be lifted pending the appeal. So this may be a step, a skirmish won, with the real battle yet to come.
Conservatives shouldn't fret yet, because the data mining will all continue. Perhaps the administration can show how effective it is because we shouldn't be giving up privacy rights if indeed, terrorists are not being caught through warrantless searches and other devices lacking judicial oversight.

Stop the illegal wiretaps? Those dirtbags didn't even bother to get permission before giving themselves "permission" to start the wiretaps. The little matter of legality certainly isn't going to stop them.
The word "legacy" infers and end to the Shrub regime. Given the attempts to turn the US into a fascist state, Shrub's self-assumed "exemptions" from laws he signs, and the so-called "war on terror" (which might be used as a pretext for cancelling elections) I wouldn't be surprised if the neo-cons attempted to seize absolute power.

I believe it will just prove in the end that he was entirely correct...when, because of hindered intelligence...we happen to get struck again by some Islamic nutjob. When it does happen...history will show once again how bleeding heart liberalism has hurt our country!!! A few other examples are the Korean Conflict, Vietnam, Desert storm, and the current conflict. Maybe we should quit bawling around and send a big thank you to everybody involved in stopping these awful plots and our military who puts their lives on the line to protect even the ingrates!!! The only thing wrong with our country is people who live in it and don't stand behind it!!

The legacy will not be at all affected. There will be no effect.

I don't think this administration's legacy could be made any worse--there's hardly anything left for them to destroy.

Bush will be proven right when thousands of us die from terrrorists attacks that could have been prevented.
Just because you support the terrorists, don't think you are safe from them.
