I really wanted to see that. In fact my girlfriend and I went to the theatre to see it yesterday, but, she changed her mind and wanted to see Step Up.

Yeah, I feel you with the let downs. There have been alot lately, especially Hostel. That was probably the biggest let down ever.

I actually like the movie and I've seen many horror flicks. Was it great? Not quite. But definitely much better than most recent horror flicks. The setup for the movie is good as I started feeling cramped and confined watching the group sliding through small passages. Plus, it is an all female cast which makes a bit different than the standard male lead hero. Dinger recommended it to me. I also recommend seeing "Dog Soldiers" made by the same director. Now that is an extremely well done movie on a low budget (werewolves vs. british commandos). It is played on SciFi sometimes, check the website.

Descent is worth seeing on the big screen. Don't worry about all these people screaming about the UK version. See the US version, then go to YouTube and view the last 10 minutes. After the US version you'll be wondering a bit about the abrupt ending. After seeing the UK ending, you'll say "oh, I see now..." I think it makes for a better experience.

I loved this film. But I have the original UK DVD. I heard for the US release the ending was shortened, along with a few other cuts. I suggest to definitely check out the UK DVD. Comes in a single disc all region version and a double disc special edition region 2.

If ya wanna check out more horror films check out my site. We deal mainly with independent and extreme horror films. Not too much with Hollycrap's mainstream stuff.

No, it isn't. Amidst the crud that passes for horror films these days, it got a lot of people excited, but, when all's said and done, it's just another version of the tired old "teens in peril from malevolent stalker" formula. Ho hum.

Speaking of horror...where does it cost $15 to see a movie???

Wait until it comes out on DVD; also, try to get the UK version, the American version has a different ending.
