I love recording programmes to watch when it is convenient. My friend and I also lend each other recordings. I hope the VRC will still be made as I will miss my recordings so much. I have a very nice collection of video films bought over time I would hate not to see them anymore. Also have family wedding recordings.

That still have the DVD and VCR combo's. I have one, and they do have DVD recorders now, that you can record to a DVD, just like you do with a VCR. But I would be guessing that within ten years. We probably will no longer have VCR.

Some stores are starting to not even carry the VCR tapes anymore.

hi croneruk! vcr's are still avaliable and very cheap..check out argos ( www.argos.co.uk) and also asda wal-mart..of course, most high-street elecrical stores sell dvd/vcr combos that do a fine job, but are more expensive than a lone vcr. if you have trouble finding a new vcr, then charity shops are a good source of 2nd hand elecrical goods..be warned though, most of these goods will not have a instruction booklet cos there 2nd hand. happy vcr hunting!.

VCRs are on the way out mate, some stores dont sell them anymore. I would convert them all to DVD and get a DVD recorder. they take up less room and wont wear out as quick either

yeah a lot of DVD recorders have VCR attached to them as a lot of people now transfer their tapes to DVD, also it protects those videos of precious memories, think there must be electrical shops that still sell them if not try http://www.ebay.co.uk or America http://www.ebay.com
