I'm sorry but I think you have self esteem issues. You watch TV and the movies and you wish that you looked more whiter.
I wish that you could find something you are good at and focus on that. It's sad that you want to change your skin color. You cannot do this. Your genetics have more pigments in them than white asians or white people. The way that you were born means that dark skin is part of your genetic makeup. No matter how many times you try to make your skin white , the pigments are in your skin. Your skin is a human organ. You cannot change that. You have to accept yourself for who you are , and get some self confidence girl!
If you want to try and avoid getting darker, then do not go out in the sun that much or wear layers of clothing so that you don't get a darker tan. There is nothing that you can do to change the color of your skin. Don't let TV and the movies tell you what beautiful means or what beautiful people look like. Beauty comes from within.

Well, depends on what type of "acne product" you are referring to. If it is a spot treatment, the blemish should REDUCE after the first day, so it'll be less noticeable but not gone, it will be gone in 2-3 days, that is with just the spot treatment cream. (There are other "tricks" for spot treating blemishes quickly. But as for a daily use products you should see an initial difference after one week, that would be a small and subtle change in your skin, if you are using it as directed. After 3-4 weeks of use you should see a noticeable difference, meaning you'll see a dramatic change in texture and appearance. This would include what you see in the mirror and a significant decrease in the appearance of acne blemishes. Depending on your skin type and age most over the counter products would help, if you can get a monthly (or bi-weekly, depending on the severity of your acne) facial with an acne treatment that would help too. If you have what is classified as ACNE IV, when the acne is severe, with blemishes and pustules seeming to over lap each other, then see your dermatologist for better treatment. other than that, cleansing, toning, and moisturizing twice daily (AM&PM) will take care of your concerns. PS, If your skin is severely oily, use your acne facial wash, a toner and a light water based moisturizer, using an astringent labeled "for acne" might dry out your skin too much and make the problem worse.

You should read Laura Jefferson’s book "Skin Whitening At Home" ( I saw it's also available in electronic format +video: http://www.skinwhiteningathome.com ). After 8 weeks I managed to get my skin a few tones whiter and I also got rid of freckles.
The method she teaches in her book is natural, inexpensive, and is readily available in most homes. You could even find some ingredients in your own backyard. The most wonderful thing about the method she shares in her book is that it will help you whiten or lighten your skin pigmentations, freckles, age spots, acne marks, dark underarms, melasma, or your overall skin color easily and naturally without breaking your bank or producing dangerous side effects. Good Luck!

Interesting. Well, it's good that you respect your culture and heritage. Tough luck to live here in cali, huh?
Well, the best way is to stay away from the sun and it's UV's.
Wear long sleeves, long pants, and hats that shade your face.

i honestly think its kinda dumb how south asians and islanders want to be as light as east asians (like chinese, korean, japanese)
i was born light skinned, im chinese.. i live in cali too. but obviously CA sun makes everyone who doesnt slather on sunscreen forever tanned. so im happy being tanned. but it annoys me when these girls or my relatives are like "ooo why u so tan?" cuz its like.. the asian standard of beauty is VERY pale. but personally i think ppl just look healthier tanned.
why do u want to conform to the east asian standard of beauty...some of us east asians like being tan too.
-but if ur really desperate, u can use Porcelain skin whitener, or Shisheido white lucent. my mom uses it. its BANK tho!
