A product called 'Goof Off' is great for this. The ultimate remover.

You can purchase generally in any wall-mart, grocery store,
etc.

It is manufactured by: Guardsman Products.

I have used it on many stains including tar. IT WORKS!

good luck

I've use lighter fluid to remove this type of stuff.
Test the colourfastness of the fabric first.

Put a paper towel under the stained fabric. Drop on the lighter fluid, one drop at a time. Use a dull knife to scrape off the softened wite out. Repeat until it is all gone.

Let the spot dry out. Rub dishwashing liquid into the area, then launder. Good luck !

Probably have to let it dry then pill or scratch most of it off then let it soak and try to shout it out. Gotta work!!
