hard to say, because people say a lot of things under duress. many confessions are illegally pressured onto suspects in order to make cases turn out the way investigators want them to. also, people confess to a crime they arent actually responsible for when they feel guilty about similar crimes that they actually did commit, like a kind of penance. he could also be suffering from a mental breakdown and wanting to releive himself of the stress of his guilt by making himself a martyr to this crime because he feels he deserves to be punished.

i think the fact that he said, "it was an accident", means that he probably is responsible for her death. i think his perversion got out of control and that he has been travelling and binging, trying to forget what he did to that poor kid, and the many other kids that he's molested and exploited.

they have DNA from jb's fingernails, i suppose when the case comes to court, the evidence will either confirm or deny his confession.

innocent til proven guilty. Karr said he drugged Benet then had sex with her, but autopsy reports show no drugs in Benets system. Karr's ex-wife also gives an alibi to his whereabouts on 12/26/96. I think he might have confessed to something he didn't do. Or his ex is a liar and he made a false confession to instill doubt in the detectives as to whether or not he is guilty. Innocent or guilty the guy is crazy.

What a mess. On one hand I say yes, it looks that way but on the other hand.... sounds not likely as I have always felt that the brother was the one. Normally... I would say that John Carr did it but (except) for his wife who gives him an alibi.. She does not like him and does not want him around her kids so WHY would she give him an alibi unless for it being that he DOES have an alibi... Given all that.. I would tend to say yes, he is probably the guilty one.

I am curious to hear the whole story. I want to know why he killed her and then placed her in her parent's basement? That really made her parents look guilty. And the whole world thought they were guilty. If they really are innocent, I feel so bad for them having to endure that. And her mom is not even around anymore to see justice be served. Anyway, I have to hear more details from this guy to see if he really did this.

I honestly don't care, I was only 6 years old myself when it happened. I don't see why the case is so sensational. A lot of mothers push their daughters to act older than they are and strut around like whores on stage.

i do not imagine he did it. i particularly do not. I do imagine he's tousled interior the appropriate and has an obsession with the case and needs the notoriety of "the single" who killed Jon Benet.

Who knows, I just heard a news report from his ex wife stating that he was out of state with her at the time of the murder. He could just be another freak looking for notoriety.

He said he was... but he also said he drugged her and police say atopsy showed zero drugs and alchol. His X wife also stated they were together at the time (if an X will testify for you, pretty much seals it)

for the sake of the family and all of us who truly want to know who did this horrendous crime I hope he is because this case needs to be resolved and from what I gathered from the news there is a good chance that he is.

I don't know... but I personally feel that if isn't he needs some serious psychological evaluation to make up such a story!
