It is only 6 months old and it started changing colors about three days ago. I can still see everything on the screen, but these different shades of pink tint everything. I ran my virus scan to see if that was the problem, but no viruses were found. I used the systen restore to go back two months and that didn't help either. Does anyone know what is wrong?

Check your cable connection between your monitor and tower, usually if it's loose your screen will show strange colors.

If the screen wasnt new, I would suspect the monitor itself.

Chk your monitor setting & colors... and if the monitor is still under warranty, have it chked out..

Also, if available try another monitor to rule out computer issues.

I wouldnt have gone thru system restores or similar for a monitor problem....

My Sony monitor of 10 years, finally died a few months ago, and it had color issues similar to yours.

In my case - its a usuable monitor but is on its way out.

Also, take notice when the pink tint actually occurs. I have seen it in the past where if a monitor overheats, i can do very strange things. It's definitely a hardware issue i.e. nothing to do with viruses or your main desktop pc

Check the cable. Make sure none of the pins are bent over and that it is connect tightly. If it still turns pink, try it on another PC. If the problem continues on the other PC, contact the manufacturer to have it replaced. Should still be under warranty.

It sounds like 1 of your red, green, or blue guns is going on your monitor. Probably the green, since the screen is turning pink. Don't be surprised if it stays that way.

That happened to me one time, except it was a blue-ish tint. My husband had to replace my monitor. Hopefully you're still under warrenty.

You reported once you hit the computer. If this has an adapter type video card, pull it out and sparkling the connectors on the cardboard that bypass into the slot. you may want to guage reinstalling the video drivers.

Sound like it is a bad monitor, if it's still under warranty you should return it and get a new one.
